Emission Gas Measurements

The word emission is used to describe the air pollution caused by motor vehicles. Motor vehicle owners are required to have regular and regular emission tests. Emission tests, more specifically, exhaust gas emission measurements, are conducted to determine whether motor vehicles are in a suitable condition for traffic. If these measurement results are within the expected values, the vehicle owners are granted an exhaust gas emission license.

In theory, the substances that give energy when burned are called fuel. When the fuel combines with oxygen, a large amount of energy is released. This chemical reaction is also called combustion. The operating principle of the engines is to compress an oxygen-containing gas, to reach high pressure and temperature, and to ignite the fuel in this way. Some emissions occur during this operation of the engine. Controllable emissions are nitrogen oxides (NOx), particulate matter, carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC). These emissions cause respiratory and asthma disorders in the human body, cause cancer, reduce the quality of life, disrupt the lung development of children and cause infant mortality.

From time to time, various standards and limitations have been introduced by local and foreign organizations in order to prevent these prolemns. After various test, measurement and analysis studies, fuel consumption and exhaust emissions of motor vehicles were determined.

Two methods are used to keep emissions to a minimum:

  • Preventing emissions within the engine during fuel combustion
  • Reducing emissions before fuel is discharged into the air by the exhaust pipe outside the engine after combustion

Apart from motor vehicles, various production facilities also emit emission gases to the environment. Emission gas measurements are made in accordance with current legal regulations and published standards.

Emission gas measurements are performed precisely by authorized laboratories. In this context Our company also performs emission gas measurements within the scope of gas measurements. In these studies In accordance with the relevant legal regulations, standards and test methods published by domestic and foreign organizations.

In the meantime, our organization, ÖSAS Accreditation Agency, It is accredited according to TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 standard and the tests, measurement, analysis, inspection and inspection procedures and reports are accepted as valid in private and official audits.
