LVD Tests of Electronic Devices

Theoretically, it is a science that examines systems and elements that process, carry or store information using electronic and electrical energy. The science of electronics examines the motion and behavior of electrons in the air cavity, gases, or solids (semiconductor materials). Electronic circuits control electrical energy on the one hand, while converting electrical energy into another form of energy. In addition, electronic circuits can convert any physical event such as heat, light and sound into electrical energy. There is no mechanical movement in electronic devices and therefore it performs its functions more quickly and economically.

Today, electronics has entered almost all fields. Therefore, the subject of electronics is divided into many sub-branches. For example, digital electronics, industrial electronics, communication electronics, medical electronics, nuclear electronics and microwave electronics. Electronics, radio, television, radar, radio, telephone, various system control devices, computers, measurement and test equipment, medical devices and many other devices are entering.

Electronics is based on performing a number of operations with digital electrical signals. Using these signals, digital devices can be controlled. In this respect, the fields covered by electronics are: analog electronics, digital electronics, communication electronics, automation electronics and medical electronics.

In fact, there are two main branches of electronics: analog and digital. Analog electronics is an electronic system that uses a continuous signal. It consists of a combination of several types of circuits in general. Digital electronics are based on electrical impulses. Open or closed voltage refers to the digital signal. In this system, binary number system is used.

An electronic device may have several electronic circuits. Electronic circuits consist of resistor, diode, transistor and the like. However, as a result, all electronic devices work with electrical energy. Therefore, electronic devices are included within the scope of the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Specific Voltage Limits (2014 / 35 / EU) prepared by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology based on the directives of the European Union. In this context, low voltage tests (LVD tests) of electronic devices must be performed by the manufacturers.

LVD tests are a must for the CE marking of electronic devices and the right to free movement.
